Here at Saunton Sands we never forget our younger guests. Children of all ages are welcome and we will always do our best to give them a holiday to remember.
The beach is a favourite with everyone, from babies to teenagers, with acres of dunes and golden sands just waiting to be explored. It's just a short walk down the hill and its safe too, with full RNLI lifeguard cover in the summer. Our surf coach can even teach you and your kids to learn to surf – just check with reception.
At the hotel, our games room and adventure area provide plenty of excitement for children, as do the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There's a separate shallow 'kiddies pool' for younger children, and a variety of toys and inflatables are available in the hotel shop.
During the school holidays, the hotel hosts a varied programme of children's entertainment to make sure there's never a dull moment. Face painting, water fun days, football and kwik cricket are just some of the activities children can take part in, and an assortment of magicians and performers are sure to keep them entertained.
For younger children, our OFSTED registered playroom is open seven days a week, all year round from 9.00am until 5.00pm.* We also offer a baby listening service enabling parents to listen in to their room from any phone in the hotel. It means that you can enjoy a bit of you time when they are sleeping – and listen in as often as you want. And if you want to go out for the evening, we can arrange for a babysitter to look after your children in the comfort of their own room.
*The Playroom is closed for lunch between 12noon and 1pm. Children staying in the hotel are allocated 2 hours maximum per day which must be pre booked. Parents must not leave the hotel grounds. The playroom facility is only available to children under the age of 8.
