Leisure Facilities
As a guest of The Royal & Fortescue Hotel you are entitled to use the facilities at the Barnstaple Health and Leisure Club, situated on the site of our sister property, The Barnstaple Hotel. Guests can swim in the heated indoor and outdoor pools free of charge, and enjoy the other facilities, including a cardiovascular exercise room, solarium and sauna, at normal member rates.
The Barnstaple Hotel Leisure Facilities include:
- Heated indoor swimming pool
- Heated outdoor swimming pool with sheltered sun terrace (April - October)
- NEW high tech air conditioned Fitness Suite with over 50 pieces of equipement - Treadmills, steppers, exercise bikes, running, rowing, cross trainers, warm up areas, fitness balls, static weight machines and free weights
- NEW Power Plates - a 90 minute workout in 15 minutes available for the first time in North Devon
- NEW Chill Out Sanctuary - 4 ceramic hot stone beds with mood lighting.
- Two saunas
- Private bar
- Hot drinks and snacks available all day
- Personal fitness planners
The Health and Leisure Club is open from 7am - 9.30pm daily, with last entries at 9pm.
